Persia and Airbender slammed for using white actors

Movies have been insulting people and cultures for years. And with Prince of Persia and The Last Airbender, it only seems to get worse. Prince of Persia's main character is supposed to be Persian, but the studio decided to use actor Jake Gyllenhaal. But critics and bloggers believe it is insulting to white people stating that it makes it makes it look like white people would like a movie if it starred a white person. And The Last Airbender is clearly an Asian inspired series though director M. Knight Shyamalan casts a white actor for the lead role, as well as others for supporting. Critics label this as white-washing.

Avenged Sevenfold album due in July

July 27, 2010 is the date set for Avenged Sevenfold's fifth studio release Nightmare. In the wake of the untimely passing of drummer James "The Rev" Sullivan this past December, A7X has employed the services of legendary drummer Mike Portnoy of Dream Theater fame to fill in and tour with the band through 2010. While the album is still a couple of months away, you can get a taste of the first single here, also titled "Nightmare."

Michael Rapaport does Tribe documentary

In 2008 actorMichael Rapaport stated he was going to make a Tribe Called Quest documentary about the group. The film is produced by rapper Nas and will debut in Cannes 2011. Not only will it feature interviews with A Tribe but it also features other hip hop legends, including the Beastie Boys. You can see more at the movies youtube channel.

Planet of The Apes Prequel

20th Century Fox is in production to start filming the prequel to Planet of the Apes titled "Rise of the Apes" this July. The film stars James Franco, who beat out his Spiderman buddy Toby Maguire for the main role, and will use the same special effects team from Avatar using photos of real apes. The screenplay will be written by Amanda Silver and Rick Jaffa, who wrote Relic in 1997, and to be directed by Rupert Wyatt, who did The Escapist in 2008. The film is stated to have a June 2011 release.

Skrulls to replace Loki in The Avengers 2012

Inside reports tell us that the Skrulls will take place of Loki, Thor's half brother, for the villian in the first Avengers movie series. Originally fans who follow the comics were to believe Loki would play the villian, in which he brainwashes HULK for his own evil deeds. But instead, sources say that the Skrulls will be the ones brainwashing. We dont know how the fans will react to this but we here hope the studio doesn't mess this one up. Read more here.

Arrest Warrant for Lohan

An L.A. judge has revoked Lindsay Lohan's probation and issued a warrnt for her arrest. There will be an attempt to arrest Lindsay, who is still in France (Cannes), as soon as she lands in America. Her attorney has done all she could to save Lindsay and now awaits her return home. Read more here.

Megan Fox fired from Transformers 3

Actress Megan Fox was let go from Paramount for the Transformers 3 movie. Why? Paramount says they want Shia Lebouf's character to go in a new direction, sources say it's cause Megan was bad mouthing the director and Megan's publicist says that it was her decision to quit.
